Simone Anders (Director)
Simone Anders, pianist, piano pedagogue, and composer, lives with her family in Pinneberg and is the mother of two children (15 and 17). She received her first piano lessons at the age of six from her stepfather, Jürgen Wagner. At eight, she began composing and was later mentored in Hamburg’s Kompositionskreis by Dr. Prof. Peter Heilbut and Dr. Dr. Reinhard Flender.
In addition to piano, she studied violin, cello, clarinet, recorder, and church organ. Her piano studies were later guided by the renowned Russian teacher Julia Suslin, known for her connection to the Russian piano school.
As a child and young adult, Simone won numerous first prizes in national competitions. She studied piano in Hamburg with Prof. Hofer but later transitioned into the financial sector, where she worked from 1998 to 2007 for the international corporation Barclaycard in the field of fraud prevention.
In 2007 she returned to her true calling and began building a class of highly talented young pianists, who have since achieved over 160 prizes in competitions such as Jugend musiziert.
In January 2024, Simone founded her own Music School Talent in Pinneberg.
From 2019 to 2023, she directed the MaiFestival Young, a national piano competition she initiated and conceptualized, which attracted more than 150 participants from across northern Germany and earned high recognition in professional circles for its numerous special prizes and talent grants.
